Day 1

Giraffes in Masai Mara This popular 3 days Masai Mara Camping Safari departs daily from our offices in Nairobi. It is a 3 Days budget camping safari to the world famous Masai Mara National Park that leaves Nairobi in the morning and reaches the escarpment of the Great Rift Valley before descending to the floor of this mighty canyon. The safari traverses the Masai Plains and lunch is taken on transit. Arrive in the park in the evening and spend the next two days exploring the wildlife sanctuary. All meals and overnight stays are at the campsite.

Masai Mara is renowned for it’s high animal concentration and abundance. Black-manned lions, elephants and buffalo can be seen (3 out of the big 5) though luck is essential for spotting leopard and rhino, which make the other two. The reserve is essentially the northern extension of Tanzania ’s Serengeti National Park and is home to numerous plains game including the migratory wildebeest, the common zebra and the Masai giraffe as well as antelopes like Thompson’s gazelle, hartebeest, impala and Dik Dik among others.

Day 2

Early breakfast followed by a full day of game drives within the reserve. The Masai Mara is famous for its lions, elephants, leopard, rhino and buffalo that make the 'big five' though luck is essential for spotting the other two namely which are rather shy and elusive. The park's animal concentration and abundance is second to none. We will cater for a picnic lunch at the hippo pool where with luck you may spot crocodiles basking on the rocks. Numerous plains game including antelopes, wildebeest, zebra, Masai giraffe can be seen as well as scavengers like hyena and vulture. Rest of meals and overnight at the camp
